ying and yang, flip and flop

Does anyone else have this problem?

I want to do big stuff, then I want to do small pieces,

I want to do huge quilts that cover a wall and then I want to do tiny stuffed birds with beads hanging off them.

I want to make skirts, underwear, felted hats,

I want to dye my own fabrics with the plants in my surroundings and I want to save time by buying the already wonderful luscious fabrics that exist out there

I want to do commercial pieces that will sell and make me money and i want to do one off exclusive squares of beauty that take days and days and you can’t possibly sell them for enough to recoup time, materials and emotional input

I wish there were four of me….

Balance Clio, balance, and of course the word I am still improving on…. patience :)

I met you a hundred years ago. You made art on baking trays. They were beautiful. I was recently given your url and you still make fantastic art. Your mind must be a beautiful place to be in.

I remember those baking trays! I would pick them up from outside the corner store, sometimes stained with icing from buns and sometimes clean and ready to go… I did paper sculpture on them and painted them and all sorts…

    Cliodhna,
I am just blown away at all the beautiful art work on your site! Its stunning! I was thinking about you and just wanted to say hi. I sing with a West Cork Acapella group (called Acapellabella!) and we have just been working on the beautiful lullaby Smile In Your Sleep, Bonny Baby,,,do you remember singing it in Bray? It always stuck with me and I sang it to Rowan and Evie when they were babies and still now! The words had changed a bit over the years in my version…bit like chinese whispers! Anyway just finished reading your blogs and sleep is calling me. Lots of love to you,
    Lisa.
    X

That sounds exactly like me. My mind is always flying from one thing to the next. It definitely keeps things interesting.
